Our Story

Relief for Children is the charitable arm of Ambassadors for Christ International School (AfCIS), a little- to tuition-free school for vulnerable children in Nsawam, Eastern Region, Ghana founded in 2022. AfCIS services over 100 students with a quality, Christ-centered education that develops them into lifelong learners and community leaders. AfCIS continues to grow and welcomes new students every term.

Registered as a nonprofit in late 2024, Relief for Children formed from the desire to extend AfCIS’s holistic offerings to children beyond Nsawam. Relief for Children leverages local partnerships to implement grassroots projects that benefit children in the areas of education, vocational training, health, nutrition, and spiritual development. Currently, Relief for Children is preparing to serve children in Nsawam and other nearby communities, with goals to further expand programming in the future.
