Our Story
Relief for Children is the charitable arm of Ambassadors for Christ International School (AfCIS), a little- to tuition-free school for vulnerable children in Nsawam, Eastern Region, Ghana founded in 2022. AfCIS services over 100 students with a quality, Christ-centered education that develops them into lifelong learners and community leaders. It aims to welcome at least 500 students by 2026.
Registered as a nonprofit in late 2024, Relief for Children formed from the desire to extend AfCIS’s holistic offerings to children beyond Nsawam. Relief for Children leverages local partnerships to implement grassroots projects that benefit children in the areas of education, vocational training, health, nutrition, and spiritual development. Currently, Relief for Children services children in Ghana’s Greater Accra Region and Eastern Region, with goals to expand programming across Ghana and into other West African countries in the near future.
