Tomer Atir

Director of Strategy and Business Development

Tomer Atir is an early-career professional with interest in the fields of sustainability, cultural exchanges, communities and education. He holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE combined program) with a minor in Sustainability from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. During his studies, he gained experience in the public sector supporting state-funded sports organizations, consulted the EU’s Foreign Office (EEAS) on the climate-energy-security nexus in the Eastern Mediterranean and worked as an environmental journalist covering scientific research. Before that, he was a youth worker at a kibbutz. Tomer took part in many international programs and enjoyed getting acquainted with people from all over the world. His bachelor thesis, on the role sister-cities play in reconciliation between Germany and Israel, was inspired by the participation in delegations to Germany as part of a sister-cities partnership.
